This species was first described his new in 1982, with the type locality being Tsumeb, Namibia. In the late 1980s a small find from this Mexican locality produced about 10 flats. The specimens came from the San Juditas Lugar. This particular example is exceptionally fine with green smooth to somewhat velvety botryoidal crystallized arsendescloizite covering almost the entire top side of a 9.0 x 5.0 x 3.0 cm matrix. Pale yellow mimetite, said to be calcium rich, are scattered throughout. This is in excellent condition and is a superb example for the species. Ex Chris and Agatha Galas collection.
