Gorgeous blue lustrous crystals of azurite to 0.5 cm in size on matrix. In good condition. Mineral Hill in New South Wales is a historic mining area and former village near Condobolin that grew around copper, gold, lead, zinc and silver deposits in the northern Lachlan Fold Belt. The site hosted open cut and underground gold and copper mining from the late 20th century, with operations beginning around 1989 and later placed into care and maintenance, and it remains a significant mineral field with renewed exploration and production interest.
