description: Many excellent black large well formed crystals of babingtonite to 2.5 cm in size rich throughout this 16.5 x 14.0 x 3.0 cm matrix coated by greenish botryoidal crsytallized prehnite. Quartz in association. In excellent condition overall as seen; some orangish-brown coatings are present to some of the crystals at far right. This is not damage. The base of the matrix is shaped with a trim saw. An outstanding large cabinet example for the species measuring 16.5 x 14.0 x 3.0 cm.
