description:
This is from the early days of finding barite at this locality. This habit and type was as good as it got for quite some time, up until about the year 2010 or 2011. The specimen shows an elongated orthorhombic crystal glassy and mostly gemmy 7.0 cm in length coming off matrix with many smaller crystals. This is in great condition. The crystal habit much different from what one sees today from the locality.
