Massive and some micro crystalline bornite without matrix. The specimen comes with several previous labels as shown at the end of the video. One has some interesting historical notations on the backside as seen.

The Rancagua mining district in central Chile is part of a major copper producing region that includes the large El Teniente deposit, one of the biggest underground copper mines in the world. Mining activity in the area began on a small scale in the 19th century and expanded significantly in the early 20th century with industrial development. The deposits are porphyry copper systems hosted in volcanic rocks and have produced vast amounts of copper along with molybdenum and other byproducts. The district remains an important center of mining in Chile and is known for its long history and large scale operations.
