specimen number:

location:
Eskifjorour, Fjaroabyggo, Eastern Region, Iceland
description:
A wonderful example for the species from this classic locality. The specimen consists of a lustrous gem colorless double terminated scalenohedral calcite crystal with very little attached matrix on the backside. This is in really fine condition. Such calcite specimens as this from this area are incredibly rare on the market. The specimen dates to the very early 20th century and comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video.
