Calcite
specimen number:
1115227
location:
near Silva, Wayne Co., Missouri, USA
description:
A grouping of very pretty calcite crystals coming off matrix. This shows two generations of crystallization, the first being orange scalenohedral crystals. The second generation covering the scalenohedral crystals are more colorless and translucent rhombohedral crystals. This is in good condition all around with some cleaving on the lower backside as seen in the video. The color is wonderful. This was collected some 10 to 15 Years ago during road construction in the area. This is superb for these finds.
