Calcite
specimen number:
1232014
location:
Skookumchuck Dam, Thurston Co., Washington, USA
description:
Neatly crystallized gemmy golden calcite without matrix. In excellent condition. This is brightly fluorescent under longwave ultraviolet light. Collected by Chuck Trantham in July, 1969. To me this is somewhat reminiscent of material that came out of Madagascar around 20 years ago.
Size: 2.9 x 2.5 x 1.4 cm (thumbnail)
