description:
This is from an ancient iron manganese mine, the pocket was dug in 1965. The locality was eventually abandoned in 1966. These are seldom seen available on the market today. Slightly red fluorescent under longwave ultraviolet light. The specimen consists of a cluster of glassy gem twinned rhombohedral calcite crystals with little attached matrix. This is in great condition. The quality is very good for the species.
