specimen number:
1602446
location:
Buick mine, Viburnum Trend, Iron Co., Missouri, USA
description:
Quite unusual and uncommon from this mining district, this is a grouping of mostly gemmy lustrous orange scalenohedral calcite crystals with little attached matrix. The specimen would have been collected in the mid 2000's, this from an area of the mine that borders the Magmont mine. Some of the lesser crystals on the backside shows some cleaving, the prominent crystals are all in great condition.
