Calcite
specimen number:
1831056
location:
Baxter Springs, Cherokee Co., Kansas, USA
description:
A parallel grouping of yellow double terminated slightly translucent calcite crystals. These are set on a small amount of matrix. It appears to me that this has been lightly dipped in acid to improve the luster. That is not atypical for specimens from this area that were collected in the 1960s.
