2421007
location:
O'Neal Quarry, Hancock Co., Illinois, USA
description:
Glassy absolute gem quality colorless crystals of calcite, these to 4.0 cm in size, over the top of a 12.5 x 7.0 x 6.5 cm limestone matrix. Sits beautifully by itself for display on a sawn base. Shows well all around, some of the crystals exhibit twinning. Light cleaving along the lower right edge of the piece, still I think in very good condition. Quite nice for a cabinet specimen from this locality. Shipping weight: 1.09 pounds.
Size: 12.5 x 7.0 x 6.5 cm (cabinet)
