Calcite
specimen number:
4761004
location:
Monument Pocket, Red Cliff Campground, Gallatin Co., Montana, USA
description:
Golden translucent scalenohedral crystals of calcite to 7.5 cm in height coming off matrix. The tallest crystal shows a second-generation of crystallization near the termination, also a small amount of matrix is attached. From the best that I can tell, this is not a repair. Faintly fluorescent, this is a very pretty piece.
Size: 12.0 x 10.0 x 10.0 cm (cabinet)
