location:
Corona Shaft, Josefa-Veneros Norte vein, La Collada, Siero, Asturias, Spain
description:
Glassy mostly gemmy colorless scalenohedral crystals of calcite measuring to 11.0 cm in size scattered attractively across matrix. This is exceptional for this mining district and species. Some of the crystals exhibit twinning. One crystal is cleaved on the termination as seen in the video. Outside of this, in terrific condition considering the overall size of the specimen.
