One side of this 11.0 x 7.0 x 6.0 cm chert matrix is mostly covered with glistening colorless transparent crystals of calcite to 0.5 cm in size. Previous label from the collection at the California Academy of Sciences. A very neat old label present as well on the side of the piece calling this banded flint. Minimal micro-chipping present. Shipping weight: 1.12 pounds.
