Calcite
specimen number:
9082230
location:
Shullsburg, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin, USA
description:
Exceptional large cabinet calcite specimen from this long closed but prolific locality. Near transparent semi-lustrous scalenohedral crystals, the slightly yellowish to colorless, the largest a twinned double terminated crystal almost 19.0 cm in length, are set nicely over the top of a crystallized marcasite matrix. Minimal cleaving in chipping present, I think considering the size of this it is an outstanding condition. Measures 28.0 x 18.0 x 12.5 cm in size. Shows nicely all around. Shipping weight: 15.5 pounds. Ex Charles Noll collection.
Size: 28.0 x 18.0 x 12.0 cm (large-cabinet)
