Calcite after Aragonite with Sulfur

description:
Classic cabinet sized Sicilian specimen with what were once crystals of twinned pseudo-hexagonal aragonite, these now replaced by crystallized calcite. Minor sulfur is present as well. This is in good condition. Incredibly fluorescent red under longwave ultraviolet light. The specimen comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video. The specimen at one time was in the collection of somebody named Hoyer, a collection that was dispersed in 1893. This piece dates to the 19th century.
