description:
Choice lustrous translucent scalenohedral calcite crystal measuring 8.5 cm in height set nicely with breccia matrix. Minor chalcopyrite in dolomite present as well. Very slight micro-chipping on the termination, this mainly an attachment to prior matrix. The crystal shows a good internal phantom crystal. This one a little unusual for the mining district is the calcite crystal shows twinning. This not terribly common for the species from here. Sits perfectly by itself for display, this measures 9.0 x 7.5 x 4.5 cm. Shipping weight: 0.45 pounds.
