Calcite with Chalcopyrite, Galena
specimen number:
7156064
location:
Sweetwater Mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA
description: Very neat and attractive sculptural specimen consisting of a 17.0 x 14.0 x 11.0 cm wretched matrix, this scattered with slightly yellowish gemmy glassy crystals of calcite to 6.0 cm in length. The double terminated calcite crystal actually shows contact twinning, this not terribly commonly seen in the calcite specimens from this mining district. The piece is in excellent condition and sits nicely by itself for display. Many brassy chalcopyrite crystals accent the matrix perfectly. The calcite crystals exhibit neat internal phantom crystals. Very fine and choice. Shipping weight: 3.92 pounds.
Size: 17.0 x 14.0 x 11.0 cm (large-cabinet)
Collection: Viburnum Trend
