description: Outstanding classic specimen from this famous locality collected in the mid 1990s. Smoky gray the slightly Amber glassy translucent scalenohedral crystals of calcite to 11.0 cm in height coming off a thin matrix. The crystals exhibit internal phantom crystals. The piece is in super condition. Accented nicely with reddish iridescent crystallized marcasite and chalcopyrite. This piece was figured in the magazine The Mineralogical Record volume 26, March, April, 1995 issue, on page 151 figure 14. A copy of the magazine will accompany the specimen.
