Calcite with Fluorite
specimen number:
2312205
location:
Qinglong Mine, Dachang, Guizhou, China
description: The Qinglong Mine, located in Dachang Town within Guizhou Province, China, has a rich history centered on extensive regional metal extraction, particularly renowned for large-scale antimony and associated mineral production. Geologically, the deposit is situated in the southwestern Guizhou depression of the Nanpanjiang Basin. The mineralization is intimately tied to local tectonic activity, sedimentary carbonate sequences, and the regional 'Dachang Layer' derived from Emeishan basaltic eruptions. Hydrothermal fluids, interacting with organic matter and ancient paleo-oil reservoirs in the strata, played a crucial role in precipitating high-grade stibnite and complex metallic ores.
Attractive combination piece with scalenohedral crystals of calcite in a cluster with light purple cubic crystals of fluorite. In good condition. Complete all around.
