Calcite with Marcasite
specimen number:
3921168
location:
Ives quarry, Racine Co., Wisconsin, USA
description:
A superb example for this locality with dark grade almost black lustrous translucent scalenohedral calcite crystals to 3.0 cm in height coming off matrix. Minimal and sparse micro-cleaving present, I think this in really good condition. The dark color due to inclusions of marcasite.
Size: 12.0 x 10.5 x 6.0 cm (cabinet)
