description: Very attractive gold and gemmy lustrous scalenohedral crystal of calcite 8.0 cm in height coming off a crystallized sparkling quartz matrix. The matrix reddish orange in color due to iron oxides. The quartz are showing casts after a previous sulfide mineral, possibly chalcopyrite or galena. The crystal is just very slightly tipped on the termination.
