Colorless slightly translucent rhombohedral crystal groupings of calcite to 1.6 cm in size across the top of a crystallized quartz matrix with fluorite. Galena is present as well on the bottom of the specimen. The calcite crystals are fluorescent bright red under longwave ultraviolet light.
