One side of this matrix is covered with quartz crystals to 1.2 cm in length, these mostly covered by micro crystallized calcite. This is set on an ore section rich with rhodochrosite. One side is slabbed and lightly polished to exhibit this. Interesting specimen for this classic mining district.
