Calcite with Sphalerite
specimen number:
2022807
location:
Gordonsville Mine, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA
description:
Beautiful combination specimen with richly colored amber gem glassy scalenohedral calcite crystals to 1.2 cm in length scattered throughout the top of an 8.0 x 6.5 x 2.0 cm sparkling black sphalerite crystal matrix. Microscopic cleaving could be present on some of the calcite crystals, this very difficult to see. I think this in excellent condition. From material collected in the 1990s. Shipping weight: 0.54 pounds. Ex Chris and Agatha Galas collection.
Size: 8.0 x 6.5 x 2.0 cm (small-cabinet)
