description: A very distinctive and choice cassiterite specimen, I remember first seeing this piece in the very early 1990s at a show in France. Later the piece turned up in the collection of Lloyd Tate, which we handled and dispersed several years ago. It is now come back to us again. Very neat cyclic black lustrous perfect crystal of cassiterite showing a small knob of crystallized Muscovite on one side. Very minimal and sparse micro-chipping present, I think this in terrific condition. Really fine. Measures 4.5 x 4.5 x 4.0 cm.
