location:
Hamma Zriba mine, Zaghoun, Tunisia
description:
A beautiful large cabinet specimen, I found this in our storage unit. Along with Don Edwards, I collected this one almost 20 years ago. Pale bluish bladed crystals of celestine to 5.0 cm plus in width and beautifully coated with red iron oxide on the terminations over the top of a 32.0 x 15.0 x 15.0 cm matrix. Remarkable for its size, when we collected this pocket most pieces fell apart as they were removed from the pocket walls. Good large groups such as this were very difficult to obtain. Slight chipping on the edges, overall I think in very fine condition.
Size: 32.0 x 15.0 x 15.0 cm (large-cabinet)
