Celestine
specimen number:
8881007
location:
Hammam-Zriba Mine, Zriba, Zagouan, Tunisia
description:
A cluster of blue translucent lustrous bladed Celestine crystals, these with red iron oxide coloring on the terminations. Quite attractive. Some cleaving and chipping is present. This was collected by myself and Don Edwards in the late 1990s. Larger intact cluster such as this one were not so plentiful. Most of the time the clusters came apart into single crystals as one is digging.
Size: 10.0 x 9.5 x 7.0 cm (cabinet)
