description: Very attractive hands sized cabinet display piece with red to colorless crystals of quartz to 0.5 cm in size covering the top of a 12.0 x 11.0 x 3.0 cm matrix. Much brassy crystals of chalcopyrite and pyrite are scattered throughout. Minor dolomite present as well. This is in excellent condition and the quartz crystals appear to be forming some kind of pseudomorphs and casts after a previous tabular mineral. The red color is due to hematite. Shipping weight: 1.38 pounds.
