Chrysoberyl
specimen number:
1651002
location:
Colatina, Espirito Santo, Brazil
description: Collected during the 1970s, this is one of a very few found in this size, most currently residing in public museums. This is a chrysoberyl on steroids. Incredibly lustrous and gemmy with a pronounced twinning plane. I think this in great condition, the right side healed naturally. Comes with a custom acrylic display base. Photo by Jeff Scovil.
Size: 26.0 x 18.0 x 5.0 cm (large-cabinet)
