specimen number:
1951035
location:
Luputo Mine, Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo
description:
Beautiful blue crystalline chrysocolla coating previous pseudomorph crystals of malachite after an unknown mineral. The crystals measure to 3.0 cm in length and are scattered over the top of a 5.5 x 3.5 x 3.0 cm matrix. Very minimal chipping present, still quite good for one of these. Displays nicely by itself and shows well all around. One can only guess at the previous mineral, possibly barite, gypsum, or azurite? Shipping weight: 0.05 pounds.
Size: 5.5 x 3.5 x 3.0 cm (miniature)
