Chrysocolla pseudomorphs
specimen number:
7992083
location:
Luputo, Kakumba, DR Congo
description:
Attractive blue chrysocolla forming replacements after a now gone prismatic mineral. These measure to 1.0 cm in length. It is likely that these were azurite crystals as there is a green malachite core. Thus it is likely these are malachite replacing azurite replaced and covered by chrysocolla.
Size: 6.0 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm (small-cabinet)
