Brilliant deep red crystals of cinnabar to 1.7 cm in size set upon a 6.5 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm matrix with small crystals of calcite. At first this appears to show damage, but actually there is slight contacting and recrystallization on top of these crystals. The veins at this mine were notoriously thin not allowing for large crystal growth very often. Outstanding Spanish classic. Shipping weight: 0.39 pounds.
