Clinochlore

specimen number:
4951655

location:
Kop Krom mine, Eastern Anatolia, Turkey

description:
An exceptionally good cabinet display piece for this material, purple sharp crystals of what are called kammererite measuring to 1.5 cm in size are scattered across the top of this matrix. Very minimal cleaving present typical of this material, I feel that the specimen is in quite good condition. These crystals are much larger than most seen available from the locality. This was likely collected in the 1970s.
