A superb example of what is known as a copper skull, this a cast after a now gone amygdule or piece of conglomerate. This is exceptionally well-formed for one of these. The specimen was part of the exhibit at the Tucson show that featured American Mineral Treasures in 2008. The specimen is also figured in the book American Mineral Treasures on page 300. The specimen is said to be ex Harvard University collection.
