Copper after Calcite
specimen number:
4751064
location:
Kearsarge mine, Houghton Co., Michigan, USA
description:
Scalenohedral crystals of calcite to almost 1.0 cm in size are replaced completely by crystalline native copper and set on matrix. I think this a wonderful pseudomorph specimen. In terrific condition. A lot of paperwork comes with the specimen, including a label from Lazard Cahn. This is shown at the end of the video.
