Copper after Pyrite (post mining)
specimen number:
1402043
location:
Bisbee, Warren District, Mule Mts, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
description: Interesting pseudomorph specimen showing crystals of pyrite to 1.8 cm in size over the front side of an 8.3 x 6.3 x 5.0 cm matrix. These are in the process of being replaced by bright native copper. These are said to be post mining pseudomorphs in origin, yet still very interesting. This sits nicely for display by itself and is in very good condition as seen.
Size: 8.3 x 6.3 x 5.0 cm (small-cabinet)
Collection: Evan Jones
