A sharp well-formed tetrahexahedral crystal of native copper just under 1.0 cm in height coming out of a pocket with minor prehnite. This has been repaired. Collected in 1994 and in great condition. The repair is not obvious.

The tetrahexahedral form in copper crystals is a complex crystal habit that belongs to the cubic crystal system and is characterized by many small faces that give the crystal a rounded or highly faceted appearance. This form develops when growth conditions favor the expression of higher index crystal faces rather than simple cubic or octahedral shapes. In native copper, tetrahexahedral crystals may appear as modified cubes with numerous small triangular or irregular faces, often producing intricate and sculptured forms.
