description: Semi lustrous blue prismatic crystals of corundum measuring to 3.0 cm in size throughout this matrix. This is in good condition and quite nice for the species at this locality. The uppermost crystal has been repaired. Brightly fluorescent under longwave ultraviolet light. This is the variety of the species that many referred to as Sapphire.
