Lustrous light purple slightly translucent crystals of creedite measuring to 0.5 cm in size lining a large open pocket within matrix. This is in great condition and quite nice for the species and locality.

The Qinglong Antimony Mine, located in the Qinglong County of Guizhou Province, China, is a world-renowned locality for exceptional specimens of the mineral creedite. Geologically, the deposit is situated within the Dachang antimony-gold mineral belt, where mineralization occurs as stratabound bodies and hydrothermal veins hosted in Permian-aged limestone and shale. Creedite, a rare calcium aluminum sulfate fluorohydrate, forms as a secondary mineral in the oxidation zones of these deposits, typically appearing as striking radiating sprays of translucent to transparent acicular crystals with colors ranging from colorless to vibrant orange and purple. Historically, while the region has been mined for antimony since the early 20th century, the discovery of world-class creedite clusters in the late 1990s and early 2000s brought the mine significant international fame among mineralogists
