A loose light green terminated crystal grouping of elbaite. Very slight micro-damage present, this still very nice. Naturally healed on the base.

Dara-e-Pech, located in the Kunar Province of northeastern Afghanistan, is a renowned pegmatite district set within rugged mountainous terrain. Geologically, the area is characterized by complex, volatile-rich granitic pegmatites that intruded into regional metamorphic rocks during major tectonic and magmatic events, forming miarolitic cavities that foster exceptional crystal growth. Mineralogically, the region is famous for producing a diverse array of fine gem and mineral specimens, including vivid tourmaline, kunzite, morganite, topaz, and aquamarine. Historically, artisanal mining across the scattered working points of the valley expanded significantly in the latter half of the twentieth century and continues today, supplying collectors and museums worldwide with high-grade gemstone and mineral crystal specimens.
