Many fine metallic prismatic crystals of enargite to 0.3 cm in length scattered throughout the top of this 12.0 x 10.0 x 3.0 cm chalcopyrite crystal matrix. Enargite from this mining district is not common, and when found almost always with this dark rusty chalcopyrite. This is a very fine and rich example. Previous label from the collection at the California Academy of Sciences; their label calls the species arsenopyrite. This is definitely enargite and is really a Tri-State classic. Shipping weight: 0.83 pounds.
