The Flambeau mine in Wisconsin operated only from 1993 to 1997, and is since been completely filled in and restored. During its time it was a very important copper producer, as well as a great producer of find mineral specimens. This current lot shows a good example of the ore minerals from the mine. The lot includes a very good azurite and malachite specimen, this the largest in the lot measuring 15.0 cm across. Also included are massive examples of two chalcocite specimens, too pyrite specimens, one chalcopyrite specimen, and they chalcocite in pyrite mixture. All of these were mined in 1994.
