A grouping of lustrous prismatic slightly translucent fluorapatite crystals. In terrific condition all around. Nice large crystals for the species for this locality.

The Imilchil region, located within the high Atlas Mountains in the Draa-Tafilalet region of Morocco near Midelt, is famous for its striking alpine landscapes and unique geological features, including ancient Jurassic-age impact structures and complex sedimentary basins. Geologically, the area is dominated by folded Mesozoic limestones, marls, and basalts cut by various hydrothermal veins and pockets. In recent decades, the remote mountain pockets around Imilchil have gained international renown among mineral collectors for producing fine specimen material, most notably well-formed quartz crystals, epidote, and related alpine-type fissure minerals.
