specimen number:
5002971
location:
Golconda, Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil
description:
An attractive combination specimen with glistening blue crystals of fluorapatite measuring to 0.3 cm in size quite rich across this muscovite crystal matrix with bertrandite, albite, and quartz. This is crystallized naturally all around, the muscovite crystals appear to form a cast after what is most likely a now gone crystal of spodumene. This specimen is in terrific condition. The bertrandite crystal grouping at the top of the piece measures a full 3.0 cm in size. Collected in May, 2010.
