Crystals of fluorapatite measuring to 0.3 cm in size on matrix with crystallized muscovite. In good condition. The specimen his historically interesting as it was collected by famous British mineralogist Sir Arthur Russell and comes with his label.

Sir Arthur Russell was a British mineralogist and collector active in the early to mid 20th century, best known for his extensive work on British mineral localities. He assembled one of the finest collections of British minerals ever formed and carefully documented specimen histories and occurrences. Russell published important papers on mineralogy and helped preserve knowledge of classic localities. His collection later became part of the Natural History Museum in London, where it remains an important reference for researchers and collectors.
