description: Beautiful glassy blue transparent crystals of fluorapatite, the largest measuring to 1.6 cm across over all sides of this 3.5 x 3.5 x 2.0 cm matrix. In outstanding condition, beautiful, quite unique. This had come out of Diana's thumbnail suite. During the 1990s the specimen was owned briefly by Isaias Casanova, who sold it to Lloyd Tate. When we bought the Tate collection, Diana the specimen for her own collection. The specimen was figured in a What's New in Minerals column in The Mineralogical Record sometime during the 1990s.
