Showy green lustrous translucent pseudo-cubic crystals of fluorapophyllite measuring to 2.0 cm in size aesthetically arranged across the top of matrix. Stilbite crystals are present upon the matrix. This is in terrific condition all around.

Solapur, situated in the southeastern region of Maharashtra, India, is located on the Deccan Plateau within the Deccan Volcanic Province. The geological foundation of the district consists of thick layers of basaltic lava flows, known as the Deccan Traps, which erupted approximately 65 million years ago. Over time, weathering of this volcanic rock produced deep, fertile black cotton soil, which became central to the region's agricultural development. Historically, Solapur emerged as a major trading hub and a critical military stronghold due to its strategic position between the Deccan kingdoms and the southern empires. The Solapur Fort, constructed during the Bahmani Kingdom in the fourteenth century, stands as a prominent historical monument built primarily from the local, durable basalt quarry stone, reflecting the direct integration of the regional geology into its defensive architecture.
