Classic Swiss Alpine specimen with light pink octahedral semi lustrous and translucent fluorite crystals measuring to 2.2 cm in size on granite. In good condition. The specimen comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video and dates to the very early 20th century if not earlier. Minor stilbite is present.

Goscheneralp in Switzerland is a classic Alpine mineral collecting area known for specimens found in high altitude fissures within granitic and metamorphic rocks. These minerals formed from hydrothermal fluids during Alpine mountain building. The locality is especially noted for fluorite, which can occur as well formed crystals including rare pink varieties. Pink fluorite from Goscheneralp is highly valued by collectors for its unusual color, transparency, and association with other Alpine minerals such as quartz and adularia.
